Four quick steps inside Gmail
1. Open an email
Open the Gmail email or conversation you want to use.
2. Open the add-on
Choose Save Email as PDF from Gmail’s right-side add-on panel.
3. Choose the message
For a conversation, choose one exact email or the whole conversation.
4. Choose an action
Print, save as PDF, download attachments, or create a ZIP.

Keep useful copies with the output
The add-on can keep email pictures, colours and layout in the PDF. Optional extra copies can include the original email file (.eml), a sanitised web-page copy (.html), or a simple text copy (.txt).
File names use a safe, shortened version of the email subject to prevent path-too-long errors.
Conversations
Use one message or the whole conversation
When Gmail opens a conversation, the add-on shows the conversation messages with their dates and times. Choose one message for a single-email action, or choose the whole conversation for a combined result.

Why the add-on asks for Google access
Save Email as PDF asks only for access needed to provide the features you choose.

Used only after you press an action, so the add-on can make the PDF, print view, attachment download or ZIP you requested.
Run as a Gmail add-on
Needed to show the add-on panel and actions beside the open Gmail message.
See your email address
Used to sign you in, keep your settings with the correct account, and protect private result links.

Used only when you choose a Drive folder or save an output to Drive. The add-on works with files and folders you select or create through it.

Your inbox is not scanned in the background
- Email content is accessed only after you press an action.
- The add-on does not watch your mailbox or process Gmail checkboxes.
- Generated results are private and require the same signed-in Google account.
